UNISON, GMB and Unite have today received  a two-year NJC pay offer from the Local Government Employers (letter attached).

Dave Prentis opens key pay debate at Labour conference

“For millions of public service workers struggling to survive, there is no more pressing issue than lifting the pay cap,” UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis told Labour delegates when he opened the debate on public sector pay at the party's conference in Brighton.

“This fight starts now,” he told conference. “We need the whole Labour Party – MPs, councillors, mayors, every constituency – to stand with us. And if the time comes to take strike action, I want to seeeveryone with us on picket lines..”
