No doubt some members will have seen this message when it was sent out late Friday January 17th, and no doubt those that did will have felt as angry and disappointed as UNISON did that such a message was:

a) sent out at all and

b) sent out late on a Friday afternoon without the trade unions knowledge which I believe is counter productive and works against us having positive industrial relations with our employer.

UNISON LOBBY TOMORROW ASKS LGA NOT TO HOLD BACK WORKERS PAY

UNISON members will lobby the next meeting of the Local Government Association (LGA) on Friday 17 January  at 10am at the Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, where West Midlands local councils will be discussing the national LG pay negotiations.   The joint union pay claim is for an increase of £1 per hour for all staff for 2014.

COUNCIL MEMBERS PLEDGE SUPPORT TO  UNISON LIVING WAGE CAMPAIGN AT BIRMIMGHAM UNIVERSITY AHEAD OF TOMORROW’S STRIKE ACTION

 

Council members are amongst the growing support for the UNISON living wage campaign to provide a basic standard of living to support workers at, the prestigious and internationally renowned, Birmingham University ahead of industrial action tomorrow (Thurs 16 Jan 2014).
